Awkward

So back in Oct ‘06 my third roommate decided to move out. We put an add on craigslist, etc etc etc and narrowed our choices down to two. I had done the original “showing everyone the apartment” because my second roommate was out of town and we had to find a new person quickly. Of course 2nd roommate wanted to meet these 2 so we set up an “interview” for each one at a near by starbucks. So the long story short, we picked candidate #1, he moved in, about 8 months later he moved out, and our current roommate moved in.

Fast forward to today, my current third roommate has a friend stop over. They talk for a few minutes and then he yells for me to come out of my room for a second. I do, and he says, “Do you remember this guy?” And I’m all, “Um. No?” and the guy tells me that he was the other candidate for the apartment. The one we denied even though he was southern and sweet and desperate for a place because he was staying at his girlfriend’s dorm and that was being frowned upon by, everyone. He is now friends with, and works with, our current third roommate. Crazy!

Awkward! This has been my morning.
